In the world of creative writing in most of the literary world to take second person perspective in disgust as something that should almost never, always with irritation. Oh sure, you have the rare second person perspective, success stories that are well known, but compared to the rest of the world of writing, these things are rare.
For those who do not know, second person perspective deals with the word that says a lot. You’re talking to the reader, usually with the idea of the person reading is the main character instead. This is the entire frame of reference for the story that you’re the main character and the writing speaks directly to you. As I’m sure many have noticed, I’m writing right now, marketing and most items you see will probably be written into it too.
I did not bother to go into details of why these types of literary writing style I hate this so much, but I must say that the marketing world, second person perspective should be your best friend instead of your enemy.
If you plan to print brochures or write anything of any length is necessary to consider the use of second person perspective for all types of marketing you do.
The reason why this kind of writing works so much better marketing is because you need to connect the message with your customers. Marketing is telling them why the product will be best for them. You must find a way to make them see themselves using your product or service in their daily lives, if you want to look into buying anything.
The customer is the star of your marketing and the one person that matters to you. Everything is geared towards them and how things will help you out. This is the main thrust of marketing, and that is why it is useful to talk directly with them.
The reason why I mentioned using this when you print brochures, because this is one of those times when you’ll be writing more than a couple of key phrases. To keep a person reading it is necessary to connect them heavily.
The better you know your customers the easier this becomes too naturally. If you can write about who they are and what problems they have in their lives, and then followed up by saying that how your product can help out in particular, will go a long way toward getting their interest.
Do not let the literary world of aversion to the second person perspective is to stop making good use of this style for your work. You may not be enrolled in high art, but it is certainly written something that can help keep your business remain strong, and bring customers in. Really, it’s not that the real indicator of what makes the job of marketing?
