Plagiarism: Crime against intelligence

Plagiarism obviously raises the issue of intellectual property. It would be wrong to believe that this phenomenon is recent, concurrent with the emergence of the Internet and foremost the fact of youth. In reality, the problem is as old as the world and many intellectuals among the most famous were the victims … or authors. In itself, the fact quoting the thoughts of others is not a problem, it is even a sense proof of intelligence. By cons, where the problem lies is in the fact that the plagiarist does not cite its sources.

In truth, if plagiarism is a lack of respect for the author’s original text, it is also and especially for plagiarizing himself. Indeed, it does not seem to make much of his own opinions, whether he did not, whether he is unable to express them properly. I do not know which of these two hypotheses is the most pathetic. However, plagiarism is certainly one of the most despicable thievery. Besides the fact that it takes a traitor original author by stealing what is most precious – his ideas – the plagiarist has often not even the decency to admit his crime when caught in the act . But it is true that the share of such vile characters, one could hardly expect a different attitude.

I do not even take the trouble to report the detection of plagiarism is at least as easy as the practice of plagiarism itself. After all, they’re not afraid of the policy who should motivate everyone to respect the rule but rather the internalization of genuine necessity.
