Google presents its range of smartphones “Android One”

android-oneThe Internet giant chose India to launch its previously announced range of low-cost smartphones called “Android One“, name of its new mobile platform. Among smartphone range we find the Sparkle V Karbonn, Micromax and Spice Dream Canvas A1 One; smartphones manufactured in partnership with Indian manufacturers Micromax, Karbonn and Spice.

This new range is looking to take an Asian emerging market comprising India, Philippines and Indonesia.

These smartphones will have interesting features like dual SIM card, very popular in this market, Mediatek 4-core processor 1.3 GHz, 4.5-inch display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, 2-megapixel front camera and back camera 5 megapixel, 1,700 mAh battery and run the Android 4.4.4 operating system KitKat.

These new smartphones will cost 6,999 rupees, something like 89 euros or $ 100. Google hopes to achieve acceptance and compete with Samsung, who has the lead sales of mobile devices in India and neighboring countries.
